In Catan: Het Dobbelspel, players roll dice to gather resources like wood, stone, grain, and clay. These resources are used to build roads, settlements, and cities on a personal score sheet. Each player gets their own sheet where they expand their territories. Players take turns rolling six dice, and after up to three rolls, they choose which resources to use for building.
The goal is to score as many victory points as possible by constructing settlements, cities, and roads within a limited number of turns. The game is simple and fast but retains the strategic elements of the original Catan.
Gameplay
In Catan: Het Dobbelspel, players build their kingdoms using dice and a score sheet. The gameplay proceeds as follows:
Each player has their own score sheet with spaces for roads, settlements, and cities. Players roll dice to collect the necessary resources to construct these buildings.
Players take turns rolling six dice and can roll up to three times before deciding which combination of resources to use.
Each construction on the score sheet earns victory points. Cities are worth more than settlements but require more resources.
The game ends after a set number of turns or when a player completes all possible constructions on their score sheet.
The player with the most victory points wins.
